  1. PLAYGROUNDS FOR CHILDREN

Alanya Mayor Adem Murat Yucel spoke that the municipality of Alanya will create two new parks for children in Konakli and Turkler, where playgrounds are much needed.

The Directorate of Parks and Gardens continues to work without breaks. New kids' parks have been added to the green areas of Kullak Caddesi street in the Konakli district and Karamanlar Sokak street in the Turkler district.

“In our projects, children are always in the first place,” said Mayor Yucel. He added that they create spaces where families with children can have fun and spend a good time together.

“We are working to ensure that all the children of our city are happy in every sense.”

  1. RECREATION AREA IN MAHMUTLAR.

A new recreation area is being actively developed on the Yarderesi side between Barbaros Street and Mahmutlar Primary School on the D-400 highway.

As part of the "Mahmutlar Yarderesi" project, the improvement of the creek embankment and the construction of a stone wall between 131 and Kılıçarslan Streets are almost completed.

“Our project will give the area a special charm. The stream, stretching from the coast to the center and surrounded by artistic structures, will look very beautiful from now on. When our project is completed, Mahmutlar's face will change. It will be a great place to spend time with friends and family,” Mayor Yucel said.

  1. HISTORY OF ALANYA

On the shore in front of Kızıl Kule, during the excavation of Alanya's historical castle, under the moss and dunes, a Roman shipyard and a ship dock were discovered.

Professor Dr. Osman Eravsar, a member of the Faculty of the Department of Medieval Archeology and the head of the excavations of Alanya’s castle, said that

The shipyard, located underwater and close in size to the shipyard of Alanya, was built during the Seljuk period. In the upcoming years, we will determine its dimensions and architectural structure. We also found data on the original layout in a document dating from the Ottoman period.
