84% of the Turkish population received the first dose of vaccine
Vaccination rates do not slow down in Turkey. As of now, more than 53 million people over the age of 18 have received the first dose of the vaccine. This makes up just over 84% of the country's population. Over 41 million people received two vaccinations and almost 10 million people received three doses. Most vaccinations have been administered in the provinces of Mugla, Kilis and Yalova. In Istanbul, 83% of the city's population has already received the first dose of the vaccine. According to the updated data on the coronavirus infection map in Turkey, the number of cases per 100 thousand population in Istanbul is 183 people, in Ankara 282, in Izmir 43, in Antalya 40 and 39 people in Mugla.
