A new stage of vaccination begins in Turkey
According to the Minister of Health of Turkey Fahrettin Koca, a new stage of vaccination began in the country on Monday.
The Ministry of Health of Turkey reports that as of April 19, more than 20 million doses of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus vaccine have been used in the country. In total, more than 20 million vaccine doses have been applied in Turkey. The first dose was received by 12,207,083 people, the second - by 7,793,292 people. So far, Turkey has purchased over 26 million doses of the CoronaVac vaccine. In June, it is planned to supply another 30 million doses of BioNTech vaccine to Turkey. “The queue for vaccination has come to residents over 55 years old. I urge all our citizens to get vaccinated. Our vaccination program will continue depending on the supply situation", the Minister said.
