Alanya plans to produce 90 million and export 30 million avocados in 2023.
Alanya is famous for various tropical fruits and currently, it is the biggest supplier of avocados in Türkiye.
Avocado is high in potassium, fiber, and unsaturated fatty acids. It helps to normalize weight, lower cholesterol level, and provides the body with essential vitamins and minerals. Therefore, avocados are often included in different diets and are popular in many countries.
70% of Turkish avocado is produced in Alanya. Currently, the production takes 40,000 hectares and the area is increasing every year.
