An icebreaker for Russia will be built in Turkey
The contract for the construction of the 7th class icebreaker will be given to the Turkish company Sefine Denizcilik Tersanecilik Turizm San. ve Tic.A.Ş., located in the province of Yalova.The Turkish shipyard has a representative office in Moscow and a subsidiary company Sefine Sudostroy LLC. According to the Sefine Shipyard website, this is a shipyard primarily engaged in the repair of large vessels. It was founded in 2005, and has the infrastructure that allows the construction and repair of ships with a deadweight of up to 120 thousand tons - up to the class of Aframax tankers.
