Farmers' markets will be open in Turkey on Saturdays
Turkish farmers across the country have staged protests.
Due to the impossibility of selling vegetables and fruits, the farmers suffer significant losses. The authorities have paid attention to this problem.
The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Turkey has sent a circular to the governorates of 81 provinces, according to which local authorities will allow farmers' markets to be arranged two times before May 17 on limited terms. According to this document, released by the Ministry of Internal Affairs on Tuesday, May 4:
Markets will be open on May 8 (Saturday) and May 15 (Saturday) from 10:00 to 17:00
Only vegetables, fruits and seedlings sales are allowed
Sale of cleaning products, clothes, dishes, toys, jewelry, bags, etc. is prohibited
Residents are allowed to go to the market closest to their place of residence
