In Türkiye, mass production of the national electric vehicle TOGG has begun.

The TOGG electric crossover prototype was unveiled in 2019. In the same year, a second model, an electric sedan, was presented in Europe.

“Türkiye is one of the leading exporters of vehicles. The TOGG project confirms the realization of our common dream of creating a sustainable future for Türkiye. This is the pride of our 85-million-people country,” said Recep Tayyip Erdogan.

The first TOGG electric vehicles should be released in Türkiye before the end of the first quarter of 2023 after certification. Let’s give a standing ovation to our manufacturers.

  1. How to pay for public transport in Istanbul

From 2023, Istanbul public transport will accept bank cards.

The municipality has signed an agreement with Mastercard to use contactless credit and debit cards on buses and subways. Now passengers will be able to travel around the city with electronic passes.

This is especially convenient for tourists who can pay with foreign cards.  Such a system is already operating in the Antalya region. For example, on public buses in Alanya, you can pay with a bank card with a Paypass system. And it's cheaper than paying in cash: only 8.75 TL by card, and 11.75 TL in cash.
