Mountain peonies bloom in Antalya
Peonies has bloomed in the mountains. Locals call the flower ''ayı gülü'' - “bear rose”. The lifespan of this flower is only 10 days, and it is included in the Red Data Book of Turkey. This type of peony is found in different provinces of the country, but it is mostly found in Antalya. The fine for a plucked flower is 80,465 liras (8,000 euros). At the international exhibition Expo 2016, this flower was chosen as the symbol of the province.
