Sitting on the beach is banned in Bodrum
In recent days, sunny weather in the resorts of Turkey does not leave residents with a choice of how to enjoy the first warm rays of the sun on the seashore.
After a meeting of the Committee on Hygiene and Sanitation, the governorship of the southwestern Turkish province of Muğla made a decision that was controversially received by local residents. According to the order of the provincial authorities, in order to fight the coronavirus pandemic, citizens of the resort town of Bodrum are prohibited from having picnics on the beaches and coastal areas.
However, the municipal police completely cordoned off the city beaches in several places with a note that it is forbidden to eat and sit there, obliging vacationers to leave the coast.
