Turkey celebrates the holiday of Eid al-Adha

The Islamic world celebrates one of the main holidays - Eid al-Adha (Muslim holiday of sacrifice), which will last until Friday evening (July 23). Traditionally, the day began for hundreds of millions of Muslims around the world with a visit to a mosque and a festive prayer. By tradition, believers visit each other and prepare festive tables - these days it is customary to visit relatives, most attention is paid to the older generation.

The important part of the holiday is helping the poor and needy. Animals will be sacrificed in the special places. Meat distribution is organized on the days of the holiday.
