Turkey introduces new restrictions from December 1

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on November 30 during a press conference announced some important issues after discussion at a Cabinet meeting. Following the meeting, the following decisions were made:

*  Daily night curfew from 21:00 to 05:00 throughout Turkey;

* Weekend curfew (no leaving the house from 21:00 Friday to 05:00 Monday);

* Grocery stores will be able to work on weekends only for delivery;

* Restaurants will only work for delivery;

* Pre-school institutions will be closed;

* Hamams, saunas, massage rooms, swimming pools, amusement parks will be closed;

* Senior citizens over 65 and young people under 20 won’t be able to use public transport;

* Entrance to shopping centers will only be by HES-code;

* The sanitation Committee will be able to limit the number of citizens on pedestrian streets and squares;

* Attendance of no more than 30 people at the funeral;

All restrictions will be imposed on all 81 provinces of Turkey from Tuesday evening (December 1). Details of the new restrictions will be published in the order of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.
