By purchasing a property in Turkey, the immediate family members of a foreign buyer can apply for a residence permit and citizenship.
According to the legislation of the Republic of Turkey, there are several main reasons why a minor can be granted Turkish citizenship:
1. If the father or mother is a Turkish citizen, their legitimate children are automatically granted citizenship.
2. If the child was born in Turkey outside of marriage, but the father is a Turk and the mother is a foreign woman, the child can apply for Turkish citizenship. However, it is important that the father, as required by law, formalize documents for paternity.
3. If the parents are foreigners, but their children cannot also obtain citizenship of the mother and father's country for any reason, an application for Turkish citizenship is allowed.
4. Buying property in Turkey from 250,000 dollar allows foreigners to obtain citizenship, but their children in this case receive a residence permit. A child will be able to obtain citizenship after they reach the age of 18.
