Booking.com going back to Turkey?

“Sabah”, citing its sources, reports that the international online hotel booking system will soon return to Turkey Booking.com. According to the publication, the Dutch company will be ready to fulfill the requirements: open an office in Turkey, appoint a representative, and pay 7.5% of taxes on profits. In 2017, an Istanbul court ruling suspended the service Booking.com in Turkey on a claim of unfair competition filed by the Union of travel agencies of Turkey (TURSAB). After the court decision, the site stopped allowing users to come from the Turkish segment of the Internet to book hotels in Turkey. At the same time, foreigners were free to choose and book rooms in hotels and hostels located in Turkey.
