Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan on Wednesday evening announced the possible easing of restrictive measures in a televised address following a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers of the republic.
According to the president, the classification of provinces will depend on such criteria as the level of morbidity and the number of vaccinated and is divided into 4 risk categories:
• low
• medium
• high
• very high
As previously noted by the head of the Ministry of Education Zia Selcuk, the return of children to school will be considered in each province separately, which Erdogan confirmed in his statement. According to the president, in the coming days, steps will also be published to ease the bans in cafes, restaurants, and public catering places.
